National University has released the NU Degree Admission Circular for the 2023-2024 academic year. This announcement outlines the eligibility criteria, application process, merit list, release slip and important deadlines for students seeking admission to NU Degree pass course.

Degree Admission 2023-2024
The primary online application for degree (pass) admission program 2023-24 has commenced on 05 June 2024. The deadline of primary application submission was 30 June 2024. Applicants could pay the primary application fee 300 TK till 01 July 2024. However, NU authority will release the merit list very soon. Nominated students have to confirm their final NU admission by the following the instruction of national university. The classes of the 2023-2024 session 1st year degree students were scheduled to begin on 25 July 2024.
Application Qualification and Condition
- Applicant must be a Bangladeshi Citizen
- Pass SSC / Equivalent level in 2019/2020/2021 session with minimum GPA-2 from any Bangladesh Education Board or Bangladesh Open University.
- Pass HSC/ Equivalent level in 2021/2022/2023 session with minimum GPA 2 from any Bangladeshi Education Board or Open University.
- Students who are admitted in 2021-22 or 2022-23 academic session’s Honours, professional, Degree (Pass) regular/private courses and already issued registration card cannot admit in 2023-2024 academic session. However, there are admission chance if they cancel the previous session admission within stipulated time.
- The registration for both this academic session and previous session will cancel due to duel admission.
- If there are any false/invalid information found in the primary application, the admission and registration will be canceled.

How to Apply for Degree (Pass) Admission 2023-24?
- Applicant should visit the NU admission related website – admission.nu.edu.bd
- Go to the Degree Pass Tab and click on Apply Now (Degree Pass)
- Check out the application form right there on your screen
- Enter your SSC and HSC/equivalent exam roll, registration, education board, passing year and a registered mobile number correctly. Note that, admission related all the update notification will be sent to this mobile number from national university.
- Enter your gender name- Male/Female
- In this section, applicants can see their admission eligible course list.
- Select your division, district wise college name and Degree (pass) 1st year all courses and seat number will be displayed.
- Select your quota if required
- Scan a recent photo and upload it. (Image size: 120 X 150 pixel, Image type: JPG, Maximum file size: 50 KB)
- Submit the Application after providing all the data accurately.
- The Application Roll and PIN will be displayed on the website.
- Download the application PDF copy and print it in A4 size paper.
- Give your signature on the respective portion of the primary application form and submit it to the applied college with application fee 300 BDT via mobile banking.
Degree Merit List Composing Process
The merit list will be made individually for each college according to the SSC and the HSC result with allotted subject course for Degree (Pass) 1st Year. Periodically this degree admission program will be accomplished by the 1st merit list, 2nd merit list, quota merit list, 1st release slip and 2nd release slip merit list. It is mentioned that there is no scope to apply in 3rd release slip.

How to Check Degree Admission Result 2024?
NU Degree Admission Result will be announced on August 2024. Applicants can view the merit list from 4.00 pm via SMS and from 9.00 PM via the website. National University Admission results for 1st year degree pass course can check by both online and SMS methods. To check the nu degree admission result students should know the application roll and PIN.
SMS
- Type the message by following NU suggested SMS format
- NU <space> ATDG <space> Roll No
- “NU ATDG 12345568”
- And sent this to “16222” number.
- A return SMS you will receive after a while
- Now view your admission result.
Online
- Visit on the www.nu.ac.bd/admissions website
- Click the Degree Pass Tab
- Enter the Degree Pass Applicant login
- Insert your Application Roll No and Pin
- Login with these data
- Check your result on the dashboard.
Final Admission Confirmation
If any students have selected in the merit list, they have to complete the next admission procedure for primary confirmation. The Admission form should be fill up by login to the NU admission website and pay the registration fee of 485 TK to the college by online mobile banking. The final admission date will be declare by the national university. The course and college wise admission fee varies from each other.

- Submit the required document and required admission fee to the college for final admission by the scheduled date.
Duel Admission Alert
Students securing a place on the first-year degree merit list for the 2023-2024 academic year, who were previously admitted in a prior academic year, must formally cancel their previous enrollment to commence studies in the current year. Any student found to hold multiple admissions will have both admissions and registrations revoked. Importantly, once a student cancels their admission for the 2023-2024 academic year, this decision is irreversible.
Who can apply for a release slip?
- Those applicants who have not been placed in the merit list
- Who have canceled the admission after being admitted in the merit list
- Who have not been admitted in the allotted course despite being placed in the merit list
Release Slip Application Process
Applicants who were unsuccessful in securing a merit list position, or those who have withdrawn their admission after initial acceptance, or even those placed on the merit list but could not secure a desired course, may apply for release slip in up to five colleges, subject to course wise available vacancies. - Click the applicant login
- Login with accurate roll and pin
- On the dashboard applicant can see the release slip application form with their details information
- Add or select 5 college from the College selection option
- Give an individual subject choice list for each college
- Submit the form and download the application copy
